The Round Table is a national organisation that promotes fun, friendship and fund-raising within clubs in local communities. Watford Round Table was chartered in 1936 and has a long history of supporting the community in Watford and the surrounding areas.
Some of our activities focus on providing a service to the community such as organising the annual fireworks display in Cassiobury Park for 37 years - sadly we had to end our association with this event in 2005. Other activies support or raise money for local charitable needs. These needs range from local registered charities, such as Watford Mencap, to individuals who just need help because of their personal circumstance.
Watford Round Table intends to use the money raised from the Watford 10k race to support local charitable needs by making a donation each month between the 2007 race and the 2008 race. We believe this will gain publicity for the race, the charities supported and for Watford Round Table.
