ALONG THE COURSE (check the Route Map) Routemap
Please keep left in all cases unless directed by Police or marshals.  Failure to do so may result in disqualification.
No dogs or following on cycles is allowed.
The course has markers every kilometre and Water Stations at approximately 6K and near the finish line.  There are frequent route direction signs and marshalls around the course.
If the weather is very wet parts of the course can get water-logged.  Please bear this in mind in Whippendell Wood, along parts of Rousebarn Lane and particularly between Gade Avenue & Gade Bank where you must keep to the middle of the path.
The course is undulating, multi-terrain and relatively traffic-free - and a little hilly!

Please look out for vehicles on Rousebarn Lane and Gade Bank. Both these are narrow lanes with infrequent traffic but are not traffic free.
Stay on the pavement along Gade Avenue which will take you back to Cassiobury Park. You do not need to cross any roads.

AT THE FINISH
In order that accurate race times we will be using a chip timing system. Please slow down immediately after the finish line so that your chip can be scanned as a backup to the main automatic detection system. You will hear a beep when you cross the line which indicates the moment your time has been recorded.

Medals will be awarded to all runners when you have finished. Please do not stop at the finish but walk through the finishing funnel to collect your medal and t-shirt. There is also some fruit and water available.

FUN RUNS
All young runners will be given a complimentary ride on the Miniature Railway in Cassiobury Park on the day, but must bring along their race numbers with them to qualify.

CANCELLATION
The organisers of the Watford 10k reserve the right to cancel the race if adverse weather should make conditions too dangerous for runners.

In this event NO REFUNDS will be given.

All profits from entry fees paid plus all sponsorship money will be given as donations to the two nominated charities.

We hope you have a very enjoyable morning with us on 3rd May 2010
