Runner Numbers being sent
Runner numbers should be sent this weekend to all runners who registered by Friday 16th April 2010. Please note that the race number is exclusive to the runner and is identified on the front of the envelope that you receive. If you have multiple runners in the same house then please keep the envelopes so that you know which number relates to which runner.

New front page
We are very pleased to have two very active new volunteers helping us organise the Watford 10K Charity Fun Run this year. Antony Stivala and Tim Wood, both new to the area, have joined Watford Round Table and are already making their presence felt. The new front page of this web site is designed by them and we will be using the same designs for our runner booklet and the t-shirts. Well done and many thanks to Antony and Tim for giving up so much of their time.

Remember to raise sponsorship money
It is so easy to raise money for Watford Mencap and other local charities with the new Watford 10K ‘justgiving’ charity web site. You can create your own web page and get friends, family and colleagues to sponsor your charity run. Remember, all the money you raise will go to a great cause and will also give you the change to win one of our great prizes. Click here for details of our sponsorship competition and to set up your ‘justgiving’ Watford 10K web page.

There is a limit of 1500 runners and we have been full for the past two years. This year we will not be accepting race entry on the day so it is essential that you register in advance. Watford 10K gains a new sponsor
Entries to the Watford 10k on 4th May are double the numbers this time last year, says Daniel Scott of Watford Round Table. Urging runners to sign up as soon as possible to avoid disappointment, Daniel Scott directed runners to the race website.
The Riverside Club in Northwood has announced that it will be sponsoring the Watford 10k, providing massages and warm-ups, as well as fruit to all the child runners. The Riverside also plans to start a running club for those raising sponsorship and to publicise the race to its members. Membership Manager Mark Adams commented,
‘The Riverside is delighted to be supporting Watford Mencap and Round Table in the Watford 10k. It’s a great chance for people to support important local good causes and improve their fitness at the same time.’
Watford Mencap’s Funding Manager Veronica Chamberlain welcomed the sponsorship. ‘The money raised in the 10k will support Watford Mencap’s Children’s Centre, which provides fun activities for 115 children and young people with a learning disability and gives their parents a welcome break.’
